Plush Dog Toys

Soft toys are often the ones dogs carry around the house, nap beside and bring to the door when guests arrive. This collection is all plush: squeaky ducks and geese, corduroy crocodiles and dinosaurs, fruit and veggie characters, fast-food and bakery shapes, sea animals, octopus toys with stretchy legs, and flat no-stuffing animals that crinkle when squeezed.

Choosing a plush toy

  • Stuffed or flat? No-stuffing and flat-lying designs leave less filling to pull out, which suits dogs that like to "unstuff" toys. Fully stuffed plush works well for gentle carriers.
  • Size matters. Pick small chenille animals and mini sea creatures for toy breeds, and long or big designs (up to 45 cm) for medium and large dogs who like to shake their toys.
  • Texture and sound. Corduroy and ribbed fabrics feel different from fluffy fleece, and toys may squeak, crinkle, quack or carry a bell. Some dogs love one sound more than others.
  • Extra play. Snuffle-style plush like the croissant and snail have pockets for hiding treats.

Plush toys aren't made for heavy chewing. Use them for fetch, carry and cuddle time, and offer a rubber chew when your dog wants to gnaw.

Care tip: hand wash plush in cool water with mild soap and let it air dry fully. Check squeakers and seams afterward.
