Pet Brushes, Combs & Hair Removers
Regular brushing keeps loose hair on the brush instead of your floor, and this collection covers both the pet and the home. On the grooming side: slicker brushes (some self-cleaning with a push button), pin and bristle brushes, undercoat rakes, dematting and deshedding combs, steel combs with fine and wide spacing, a hand-stripping knife, grooming gloves and mitts, and a mist spray brush. For the home: rubber fur scrapers, reusable lint rollers, laundry hair catchers and a fabric shaver.
Choose by coat type
- Short, smooth coats: rubber mitts, gloves and bristle brushes.
- Double coats: undercoat rakes and deshedding combs during shedding season.
- Long or curly coats: long-pin slicker brushes followed by a steel comb to find tangles.
- Wiry coats: a stripping knife, fine or coarse.
- Cats: soft palm brushes, plus corner and table-leg self groomers they can rub against.
Brush in the direction the hair grows, keep sessions short, and finish with a comb to check for knots. Work slowly and gently with dematting tools.
Tip: remove hair from brushes after each use and wash combs in warm soapy water once a week. Rinse rubber fur scrapers whenever they clog.
