Cat Collars
Cat collars come in more personalities than you might expect. This collection includes breakaway collars with bells, plaid, gingham and tartan bow ties, velvet bows, woven floral ribbons with lace edges, knit and crochet collars, glitter and rhinestone designs, a glow-in-the-dark silicone collar, Japanese prints with koi or lucky cat charms, and multi-packs of fruit-print and reflective collars.
Fitting a collar on your cat
- Measure around your cat's neck with a soft tape, then check the size chart on each product. Many styles here adjust within a range such as 19 to 32 cm.
- Aim for a snug fit with room for one to two fingers underneath.
- Kittens grow quickly, so choose an adjustable collar and check the fit often.
Breakaway buckles release when pulled firmly, a feature many cat owners look for. Bells let you hear where your cat is around the house. For the look, decide between soft fabrics like velvet and knit, or shinier PU leather, glitter and rhinestones.
Tip: introduce a collar slowly. Put it on for short periods during meals or play, reward your cat, and build up the time. Remove fabric collars and hand wash them when they look dirty.
