Cat Clothes
Not every cat enjoys clothes, but for hairless breeds, chilly homes or a special photo, the right piece can work well. Sizing clothes for cats
- Measure neck, chest (just behind the front legs) and back length with a soft tape.
- Check each product's size chart; many items are shared with small dogs, so a cat often wears XS or S.
- Choose stretchy knits and soft fleece over stiff fabrics, and look for ear holes and adjustable chin cords on hats.
Light accessories such as bandanas, bow ties and lace collars are an easy start for cats new to clothing. Full sweaters and onesies suit cats who are already relaxed about being handled.
Tip: keep first try-ons short, offer treats, and take the item off if your cat freezes, hides or tries to wriggle out. Don't leave a dressed cat alone for long periods.
